Membership and Subscription Terms

Last updated October 30, 2026. These terms are provided in good faith and will be reviewed by counsel before sales open; the version in force is always the one on this page.

These terms add to the Terms of Service for the DFD Supporter subscription and for Wildbound memberships (Field Assistant, Researcher and Expedition Patron).

DFD Supporter

• What it unlocks. While your subscription is active, every game Dennon Forrester Developments offers in the DFD Launcher is unlocked for your account: today Wildbound and The Prince, and games we add later.
• Pay what you want. It costs at least the minimum shown on the DFD Supporter page (US$4.99 a month when these terms were written), or more if you choose. You can change your amount there; a new amount applies from your next renewal.
• When it ends. It renews monthly until you cancel. When it ends (you cancel, or payments fail after Stripe's retries), games you didn't buy separately lock again at the end of the period you paid for, plus up to 14 days' grace. Games you bought on their own stay yours. Unlike a Wildbound membership, it never keeps a game for you.
• Automatic renewal, cancelling, price changes and failed payments work as described below.

Automatic renewal

Your subscription or membership renews automatically every month, at the price shown when you joined (plus any applicable tax), and your payment method is charged at the start of each period until you cancel. You'll see the price, billing period and renewal date before you pay and in your account.

• Cancel any time online in Membership or on the DFD Supporter page (both open Stripe's billing portal). Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep your perks until then and won't be charged again.
• Yearly plans: we email a reminder before each yearly renewal, with the price and how to cancel.
• Price changes: we'll email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your next renewal. You can cancel before then.
• Failed payments: Stripe retries for up to 14 days. Perks pause if payment still fails, and the membership ends.

Wildbound memberships: the game and keeping it

• Every tier includes the game while you're a member.
• After three paid months (a yearly plan counts as twelve), you keep the game for good, even if you cancel later.
• If you cancel before three paid months, the game stays available until 14 days after your last paid period ends.

Tiers and perks

Perks follow your current tier. Changing tier takes effect immediately; upgrades are charged the prorated difference at once, and downgrades credit the difference toward later renewals. Test-channel access, poll votes, credits listing and Discord roles are described on the membership page and may change as the game develops; we won't remove the game itself from a paid tier.

Your credit name appears only if you opt in, in Profile and privacy.
